CHR

L'OHI encourage la création de Commissions hydrographiques régionales dans le but de coordonner les activités hydrographiques et la coopération au niveau régional. Les Commissions hydrographiques régionales sont composées des Etats membres de l’OHI, ainsi que des autres Etats de la région qui souhaitent y participer. Les CHR travaillent en étroite harmonie avec l’Organisation pour l’aider à réaliser ses idéaux et son programme. Les CHR se réunissent régulièrement pour discuter de problèmes communs en matière d’hydrographie et de production cartographique, planifier des opérations de levés conjoints et résoudre les plans de découpage relatifs à la couverture en cartes internationales à moyennes et grandes échelles de leurs régions
