IBSC43 (2020)
The IBSC (The Board) acknowledges that these are challenging times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and encourages all institutions to prioritize the well-being of staff and students as they manage their particular circumstances to deal with disruptions to their normal teaching strategies for their recognized programme(s). The Board recognizes that teaching delivery strategies will likely need to be changed as institutions implement essential changes to comply with official directions from authorities. The Board requests that any modified teaching strategies seek to maintain the appropriate level of the applicable Standard and asks that significant changes be referred to the Board for its consideration of the need for guidance or assistance with continuing recognition. This acknowledgement should not be construed as the Board seeking to override national or local official directions.

Introduction The IHO Data Protection Scheme defines security constructs and operating procedures that must be followed by Data Servers (providers of data) and Data Clients (systems that use the data). The purpose of data protection scheme is to provide: 1. Piracy Protection: i.e. to prevent unauthorised use of data by encrypting the ENC information. 2. Selective Access: i.e. to restrict access to ENC information to only those cells that a customer has been licenced for. 3. Authentication: i.e to provide assurance that the ENC data has come from approved sources

Navigational Products
Introduction The S-100 Standard is a framework document that is intended for the development of digital products and services for hydrographic, maritime and GIS communities. It comprises multiple parts that are based on the geospatial standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization, Technical Committee 211 (ISO/TC211). An S-100 based Product Specification defines a data product, and usually includes additional resources such as a machine readable Feature Catalogue and Portrayal Catalogue, a data Encoding Guide and at least one data encoding format. A guidance document S-97 for developing Product Specifications can be downloaded from the GI registry. A list of known IHO S-100 based product specifications is provided here.
