Standards of Competence

One of the pilars is the development and maintenance of Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers. The Standards of Competence are available at the Publications section.

Recognition of Programmes based on Standards of Competence

The IHO joins forces with its sister organizations the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and the International Cartographic Association (ICA) to operate the International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers (IBSC).
