NCWG-Digital Reference Tool for Cartographers (DRTc)

DIGITAL REFERENCE TOOL FOR CARTOGRAPHERS (DRTc)
(Includes content from S-57 UOC, S-4, and S-32)

 

 

The Korea Hydrographic & Oceanographic Agency (KHOA) has developed and made available a software application (tool) intended to help cartographers search and access related content in various IHO publications.

This free application, which is intended to run on a Windows operating system, is downloaded here. (the extension (.khoa) should be replaced with (.exe))

The application integrates content from the following IHO publications:

  • S-57 IHO Transfer Standard for Digital Hydrographic Data, Appendix B.1, Annex A - Use of the Object Catalogue for ENC - UOC.
  • S-4 Regulations for International (INT) Charts and Chart Specifications of the IHO (English, French and Korean)).
  • S-32 Hydrographic Dictionary - Part I Volume I, English.
  • S-32 App 1 Hydrographic Dictionary - Glossary of ECDIS Terms.

Please note: users of this application are advised to check (the IHO website) to ensure that the editions of the document listed above have not been superseded.

-          S-4 Regulations for International (INT) Charts and Chart Specifications of the IHO (English: Edition 4.5.0, October 2014).

-           S-4 database was developed as XML and HTML format in the DRTC 1.1 

[Enhanced Functions]

-          Several functions like index and search for S-4 contents were added in the new version

-          Font size scaling function for S-57 UOC and S-4 contents was included in the new version

-          Update a video clip
