Data Centre for Digital Bathymetry
The International Hydrographic Organization Data Centre for Digital Bathymetry (IHO DCDB) was established in 1990 to steward the worldwide collection of bathymetric data. The Centre archives and shares, freely and without restrictions, depth data contributed by mariners. The IHO DCDB is hosted by the U.S. National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on behalf of the IHO Member States.
Capacity Building and Technical Cooperation
Capacity Building is defined as the process by which the IHO assesses and assists in sustainable development of the Member States and other states, to meet the objectives of the IHO and the obligations related to SOLAS Chapter V, UNCLOS and other international instruments. Capacity Building is a strategic objective of the IHO.

It meets every three years to provide general guidance on the functioning and work of the Organization, as well as taking decisions of technical and administrative nature.
