TWCWG
The TWCWG is tasked with providing technical advice and coordination on matters related to tides, water levels, currents and vertical datum, including integrated water level/current data models. Transfer of Tidal Constituents : An XML Schema has been prepared to facilitate the digital transfer of harmonic tidal constituents. The schema and further information is available from the UKHO web site. Capacity Building : The Working Group has developed a training course on the theory and measurement of tides and water levels in support of hydrography. Course material can be accessed via the link.

Training for Trainers Programme (TFT) The TFT is designed to prepare trainers in hydrographic related subjects and will be exposed to teaching methodology and teaching material development. The trainer will then deliver specific training programmes in their own countries, in their mother tongue and using their expertise. The TFT is currently focusing on hydrographic surveying, nautical charting and Maritime Safety Information (MSI). It had been successfully run within the East Asia Hydrographic Commission (EAHC) and is now expanded to the global IHO community.

ENC Data Protection
Introduction The IHO Data Protection Scheme defines security constructs and operating procedures that must be followed by Data Servers (providers of data) and Data Clients (systems that use the data). The purpose of data protection scheme is to provide: 1. Piracy Protection: i.e. to prevent unauthorised use of data by encrypting the ENC information. 2. Selective Access: i.e. to restrict access to ENC information to only those cells that a customer has been licenced for. 3. Authentication: i.e to provide assurance that the ENC data has come from approved sources
