Standards pending entry into force
This page provides a list of IHO standards and product specifications relevant to ECDIS that have been officially published but are not yet in force. These include standards that have been approved and released, but whose implementation dates are in the future, as defined in the S-100 Implementation Roadmap. Only standards that are intended to be implemented in ECDIS are listed here. Each entry includes the publication date, the scheduled date of entry into force, and any applicable notes regarding transition periods or dual-fuel operations. ECDIS manufacturers, hydrographic offices, and system integrators are encouraged to regularly consult this page to prepare for upcoming requirements under the S-100 framework and ensure timely compliance. Equality in the Workplace Conference
The Scientific Centre of Monaco (CSM), the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and the Women's Rights Committee of the Government of Monaco, in partnership with the Monegasque Association for Sustainable Finance (AMFID) and SheCanHeCan, are organizing a conference followed by a cocktail reception on gender equality as part of International Women's Day. The event will be held on Thursday March 9th at 18:30 at the Hermitage Hotel in Monaco and will be in French.
S-52 Portrayal Bulletins
Introduction S-52 provides specifications and guidance regarding the issuing and updating of Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC), and their display in ECDIS. This IHO Publication was developed in conjunction with the IMO Performance Standards for Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). The S-52 Chart Presentation Bulletins are placed here to communicate information concerning portrayal and update issues related to ECDIS and ENC production. They may influence ENC producers´ encoding practices and should be consulted in conjunction with the S-57 Encoding Bulletins. Each Bulletin explains a particular ECDIS portrayal issue, recommended procedures for addressing the issue and the consequences of not following the recommended procedures.
