In accordance with the revised governance structure that entered into force on 8 November 2016, the first session of the Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization was held in the Rainier III Auditorium in Monaco, from 24 to 28 April 2017.

ABLOS

The Advisory Board comprises 4 representatives from IHO Member States and 4 representatives from the International Association of Geodesy (IAG). The UN DOALOS and IHO Secretariat are ex-officio members. IHO Member States may send observers to the meetings and other observers may attend at the invitation of the Chairman. The Advisory Board meets every year and holds an International Seminar every other year. Additional information can be found on the Danish Technical University (DTU) hosted website.

External Stakeholders

In addition to the international organizations that represent various stakeholder groups and have observer status in the IHO, the IHO Secretariat organizes open meetings and facilitates communcation channels, allowing external stakeholders provide valuable input to the work of the IHO. External stakeholders include mariners, ship owners and operators, companies supporting Hydrographic Offices, maritime administrations, navigation equipment manufacturers, the oceanographic scientific community and product distributors. The IHO regularly announces its latest publications and shares news with external stakeholders, keeping them informed of important development.
