NIPWG

Objectives

The primary objective of NIPWG is to develop and maintain guidance, resolutions and specifications in order to provide shipboard users the necessary and up-to-date information in a timely manner to allow for the planning of a safe route for the intended voyage and the safeguarding of the ship’s navigation throughout the voyage.

Documents and Resources

With the opening of the new IHO Portal (Ref. IHO CL44/2024), all NIPWG resources are now only available via the NIPWG section of the IHO Portal.

To access all the NIPWG section, you will need:

• to create an account on the IHO portal
• to join the NIPWG community (see 'members' tab to apply)

Next Meeting

The 12th NIPWG Meeting will take place in Aalborg (Denmark) from 16 to 19 September 2025.
