Objectives
To promote technical co-operation in the domain of hydrographic surveying, marine cartography, and nautical information within the region.

Antarctic Treaty Secretariat (ATS), Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programmes (COMNAP), International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators (IAATO), Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), International Maritime Organization (IMO), Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO), International Bathymetric Chart of the Southern Ocean (IBCSO).

Conferences
The HCA meets annually. An agenda is prepared in advance of each conference, together with the documents to be referred to and/or discussed at the conference. Proposals and reports to HCA conferences should be submitted at least one month in advance of conferences.
